Ian Wright, Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker have all taken to Twitter to react after Joe Willock scored inside 16 minutes on his Newcastle debut.
The Arsenal academy graduate – who joined the Magpies on loan in January – got off to the perfect start at St James’ Park by netting the opener against Southampton.
Allan Saint-Maximin plucked a long-range pass out of the sky, before surging forward and cutting the ball back towards the edge of the box.
That was exactly where Willock was lurking, and the 21-year-old calmly placed the ball beyond Alex McCarthy to give Steve Bruce’s side the lead.
After seeing what he’d done, Wright, Shearer and Lineker all opened their Twitter accounts to react – you can see their responses below.
Things went from good to great for Willock shortly after his strike, as an own goal from Jan Bednarek doubled Newcastle’s advantage.
The England Under-21 international now has four goals and three assists in all competitions this season, which isn’t too bad at all.

Evidently, Wright is delighted to see the Arsenal man enjoy early success on Tyneside.
Shearer is too, but for entirely different reasons to his BBC colleague as he, presumably, only cares about how Willock can help his beloved Newcastle.
