Aston Villa are said to be interested in signing Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury.
Ian Taylor has suggested that he believes Nottingham Forest midfielder Henri Lansbury would fit in well at Aston Villa.
Villa have been linked with Forest midfielder Lansbury, with Steve Bruce said to be preparing a bid by Sky Sports.
Lansbury’s contract at Forest runs out at the end of the season, meaning the midfielder could be available in the coming weeks.
And Taylor has urged Villa to complete a deal for the 26-year-old former Arsenal man.
Forest still have some hopes of keeping hold of Lansbury, but they realise that their bargaining position is a weak one.
If Lansbury doesn’t sign a new contract at the City Ground, Forest won’t receive any money for him at the end of the season.

If Lansbury was to move to Villa, he would be in competition with the likes of Mile Jedinak, Gary Gardner and Aaron Tshibola for a first-team place.
Lansbury has scored six goals in 19 appearances for Forest so far this season.
