Aston Villa have reached the play-off final for the second season running.

Ian Taylor, Stan Collymore and Paul McGrath expressed their delight on Twitter after Aston Villa reached the play-off final in the most dramatic of fashions on Tuesday night at The Hawthorns.
Dean Smith’s side went into the second leg encounter with a slender 2-1 lead, but Albion cancelled out Villa’s advantage when Craig Dawson headed from a long throw.
The away team dominated possession throughout and looked nervy after the break. But Chris Bunt’s sending off midway through the second half changed the game as Villa struggled to get past Albion’s resilient defence.
The game ended up going to penalties, with goalkeeper Jed Steer saving two spot-kicks and Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham scoring the decisive goal.
Here are the likes of Taylor, Collymore & McGrath reacting to Villa’s shootout win on Twitter:
Villa will now plan for a second trip to Wembley after losing the play-off final to Fulham last May. The likes of Jack Grealish, Conor Hourihane, Albert Adomah, Ahmed Elmohamady and Jonathan Kodjia played in that fixture and they will be wanting to put things right.
Their opponents will either be Leeds United or Derby County, who contest the second Championship play-off final on Wednesday night at Elland Road.
