Grealish scored a stunning goal in the Championship win at Rotherham United in midweek.

Aston Villa legend Ian Taylor has piled further praise on Jack Grealish’s goal in the midweek Championship 2-1 win at Rotherham United, admitting he did not appreciate it enough the first time he saw it.
The 23-year-old scored what turned out to be the winner in Wednesday night’s game at the New York Stadium, helping his side come from behind against the Millers despite being down to ten men and extending their winning run.
Grealish set off from his own half, getting the better of three Rotherham players before a one-two unlocked his route into the opposition’s final third, marauding forward and beating another opponent along the way.
In the D, the captain played another one-two, this time with Ahmed Elmohamady, before edging into the box proper and finishing off with a neat shot into the net, another couple of Millers defenders unable to stop his efforts.
Taylor, who made upwards of 200 Villa appearances between 1994 and 2003, took to Twitter on Thursday and tagged Grealish to congratulate him further, with a link to the club’s official Instagram clip of the goal.
Some Villa fans took to Taylor’s Twitter to have their say in the comments:
Villa have five more games this term in their bid to seal a Championship playoff spot, with Bristol City next up this weekend at Villa Park.
