Premier League outfit Tottenham got the better of Championship club Villa 2-0 at White Hart Lane in the third round of the FA Cup at White Hart Lane.
After a goalless first half, Ben Davies and Son Heung-min scored twice in the second period for Spurs.
Former Tottenham defender Roberts was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the final result.
Ex-Villa midfielder Ian Taylor was also following the game, and he has praised the performance of Spurs midfielder Dele Alli.
Alli did not start the tie, but the 20-year-old England international midfielder came on as a substitute in the 60th minute.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon, hosts Tottenham had 71% of the possession, took 13 shots of which seven were on target, and earned six corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors Liverpool had just 29% of the possession, took nine shots of which only one were on target, and earned two corners, according to BBC Sport.
