Aston Villa won 1-0 against Middlesbrough at the Riverside on Saturday.

Aston Villa returned to winning ways after beating Tony Pulis’ Middlesbrough 1-0 at the Riverside on Saturday in the Championship.
Former Aston Villa player and the club ambassador, Ian Taylor has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his reaction after the match.
He has hailed the result as a “massive win”, and has thanked the travelling fans for their support.
It was Villa’s first win in six games, and the victory puts them in the seventh place, one point behind Leeds United.

Jack Grealish and Robert Snodgrass had efforts saved in an uneventful first half that also saw Patrick Bamford coming close to scoring for Boro.
In the second half, Villa scored the only goal of the match when Robert Snodgrass headed in from Albert Adomah’s cross.

It was also Steve Bruce’s first victory as a manager at the Riverside. He said after the match that the result was satisfying, given his side has been ravaged with injuries.
