Villa came from a goal down to get the better of Wednesday 3-1 away from home at the Hillsborough Stadium in the Championship.
Gary Hooper put the Owls in the lead after just seven minutes, but Villa restored parity midway through the first half through John McGinn.
Albert Adomah made it 2-1 to the Villans in the second minute of injury time, and Chelsea-owned striker Tammy Abraham found the net soon after.

Taylor has admitted that the performance of Dean Smith’s side was not great, and he has also praised the Villa fans for their support to the team away rom home.
The win against Wednesday has enhanced Villa’s chances of finishing in the top six of the Championship this season.
The Villans are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 63 points from 40 matches, three points clear of sixth-placed Derby County.
Villa will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Rotherham United away from home in the Championship.
