Villa have secured the services of Terry on a free transfer following the defender’s departure from Premier League giants Chelsea at the end of last month.
Former Villa midfielder Taylor has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to the Villans signing the former England international centre-back.
Terry is one of the greatest defenders of all time and arguably the best centre-back in the Premier League era.
The 36-year-old is a Chelsea legend, and signing him on a free transfer is indeed a smart move from Villa.
However, due to the age of Terry, it would not be wise to expect him to play week in and week out.
Steve Bruce is a very good and smart manager, and the Villa boss will know how to get the best of Terry during the 2017-18 campaign.
Villa will be aiming to finish in the top six of the Championship next season.
