Villa played out a 1-1 draw with Birmingham away from home at St. Andrew’s in the Championship.
The Villans took the lead in the derby just before the half-hour mark through Gary Gardner.
The home team restored parity in the 71st minute when David Davis drilled in a low, right-footed shot.
