After a goalless first half, Raheem Sterling put Pep Guardiola’s side in the lead in the 46th minute.
David Silva doubled the advantage for the home team on 65 minutes, and Ilkay Gundogan made it 3-0 just five minutes.
City ended the game with 10 men due to the sending-off of Fernandinho in the 87th minute.
