The former Aston Villa midfielder has taken to social media after yet another defeat.
During Aston Villa’s 2-1 loss to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon, Ian Taylor employed a change of tact on Twitter.
Indeed, instead of criticising another poor Villa display (although there was a lot more spirit shown than usual after going 2-0 down), Taylor chose simply to focus on the positive of Villa’s fans.
And, when questioned by a follower on Monday afternoon, the ex-midfielder explained why he no longer bothers highlighting the negatives…
Taylor was recently described by Dion Dublin as having an engine to die for during his Aston Villa days and it’s a shame Villa’s current squad don’t have the heart to put any sort of engine they have into practice.
Next up for Villa is a home clash against Everton on Tuesday night and the odds don’t stack up well for Remi Garde’s men.
The Toffees still have a chance of a solid Premier League finish and will be looking to pounce on any Aston Villa weakness they see. If recent form is anything to go by, that could spell bad news for the Midlands outfit.
