Liverpool are looking to end their 29-year wait for a top flight tittle this season.
Liverpool legend Ian Rush spoke exclusively to Sky Sports about the Reds’ push for the Premier League title this season, and shared something that he has noticed when watching Jurgen Klopp’s side during training sessions.
The Merseyside outfit currently sit at the top of the Premier League table, two points clear of second placed Manchester City, although Pep Guardiola’s side do have a game in hand – away at Manchester United tomorrow night.
Liverpool have been quite simply brilliant to watch this season, and this year will surely be their best opportunity to win the Premier League title.
The Reds do seem to have a wonderful team ethic, and there is a bond between the players that has not been present at Anfield in quite a few years.
Rush spoke exclusively to Sky Sports, and highlighted how important that bond between the Liverpool players has been this season:
“I’ve been to training sessions and I’ve seen Liverpool players laughing and joking between things but when they’re working, they work. And when they have a break, they are talking to each other, they are enjoying being with each other, they put their arms around each other and that comes from the manager.”
Next up for Liverpool is a home game against already relegated Huddersfield Town, and nothing less than a win will do, if they are to remain in front of Manchester City at the Premier League’s summit.
