Queens Park Rangers boss Ian Holloway has admitted to Get West London that he would like to loan out Reece Grego-Cox.

Grego-Cox spent the first half of the season at Newport County, but he is back at Loftus Road now.

And Holloway admits that he would like to see the youngster getting regular action once again.

However, new Football League rules mean that QPR are no longer able to send the striker out on loan outside of the transfer window.

And Holloway said: “In an ideal world, I’d like to loan him, and one or two of them out, but can’t I do that at the minute.

“They’re going to get a chance and who’s to say we can’t continue with the balance of youth and experience we have at the moment. That would please me more than anything.”

Grego-Cox is regarded as one of QPR’s more promising up and coming talents.

The 20-year-old has already been handed five senior appearances for Rangers over his career to date.

During Grego-Cox’s time with Newport in League Two, the starlet made seven appearances for Graham Westley’s side, but he failed to score.

Grego-Cox also appears to have little chance of breaking into QPR’s first-team, as both Matt Smith and Conor Washington are in excellent form.
