The Italian is not shy of making a big decision when it comes to his managers.

Garry Monk has already found himself asking questions about his future at Leeds United recently. After last weekend’s loss to West Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town there were plenty suggesting that Massimo Cellino might have already grown tired of the Leeds gaffer.

The Italian, who recently became the sole owner of Leeds United, is known for chopping and changing managers at a fairly alarming rate.

Speaking to Sky Sports today former Blackpool boss Ian Holloway explained the impact that has on the players – suggesting it gives them an excuse to not perform at their best level:

“I think it gives player’s excuses.

“They’ll shift the blame from them and their responsibilities, performance, level of performance on the manager and tit undermines the manager.

“We’re not surprised. Cellino has bought the rest of the club, it’s his show, he’s going to do it the way he wants.

“I hope Garry gets some time.”

There is probably little doubt that the Leeds supremo was considering another swift decision regarding the future of the head coach – given his history with the likes of Dave Hockaday, Darko Milanic and Uwe Rosler.

But what a difference a week makes.

Leeds United won both their games since the Huddersfield defeat, beating Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.

Monk appears to be finding his best Leeds United team and will now be hoping to put any talk of losing his job firmly in the rear-view mirror.
