Ian Holloway said on the EFL show on Quest TV that Leeds United have been lucky that Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford have not been injured at the same time this season.

The former Queens Park Rangers manager made the comments following Leeds’s 1-0 win against Bristol City away from home at the Ashton Gate Stadium in the Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Bamford scored the only goal of the match in the ninth minute, but the former Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough striker had to come off with injury laterin the game.

Roofe is on the sidelines at the moment with injury, but Leeds fans need not worry as head coach Marcelo Bielsa said after the match he expects Bamford to be available for Tuesday’s match against Reading, as quoted in Leeds Live.

Holloway has said that Leeds are lucky that Roofe and Bamford have not been on the sidelines at the same time.

Holloway said on the EFL show on Quest TV: “The lucky thing for Leeds is that they haven’t both been injured together. One of them can take the place of the other one, so you keep that quality.”
