Sky Sports pundit Ian Holloway has issued a warning to Leeds United ahead of their trip to Norwich City on Saturday.

Leeds are unbeaten in four games in all competitions while Norwich, in contrast, are without a win in four.

Norwich were well beaten by Brighton & Hove Albion last time out, having lost in a League Cup tie at Elland Road in the week.

However, Leeds should take nothing for granted against Alex Neil’s side, according to Holloway, who expects the Canaries to play like “a wolf caught in a trap”.

“How are Norwich going to be after losing 5-0? They could be a wounded animal, imagine like a wolf that has got caught in a trap, which would not be very nice to play,” the former Leicester City and Crystal Palace boss wrote in his weekly predictions column.

“But even though Garry Monk has got Leeds playing well, I am actually backing Norwich, who I do not think will give much away and will win by one goal.

“This is a test for Leeds, though, who I have said quite categorically are going to have a good season, as long as the owner trusts Garry with it. A few weeks ago, they were losing a few games and there was speculation. And Massimo Cellino needs to trust him, as the longer Monk stays there, the better Leeds are going to be.

“But in this game, I can see a big problem with Norwich, who I think are going to bounce back. And their manager is really determined. I do not think they have that many issues and they are going to be there or thereabouts at the end of the season. I would not want to play Norwich after last week’s game.”

Relegated Norwich were top of the league only a few weeks ago, but a win for Leeds would move them to within a point of the fourth-placed Canaries.

And Monk’s men could end Saturday afternoon in the play-offs, if three of the four sides directly above them record inferior results.

Neil’s position is reportedly under threat after Norwich’s recent run. However, the East Anglian side will climb back up to third if they better Huddersfield Town’s result.
