The pundit is backing the Clarets to beat Leeds on Saturday afternoon.
Ian Holloway is backing Burnley to beat Leeds United 2-0 during Saturday’s early kick-off, according to his regular predictions column for Sky Sports.
Leeds travel to Turf Moor to face the promotion-chasing Clarets this weekend – but Holloway is backing the home side to come good.
The pundit feels Sean Dyche won’t settle for anything less than a win. And he believes ‘quality’ player George Boyd will finally hit the back of the net
Holloway told Sky Sports: “It’s very tough to get points off the big boys at this time of the season. Burnley slipped up against Cardiff with a 0-0 but I can’t see Sean Dyche settling for anything less than a win here. Those lads have been here before and know what it takes to get results. I can’t see them dropping many points between now and the end of the season.
“George Boyd had a great chance to score last week and didn’t take it – he hasn’t scored since January but I think he’ll put that right here. He’s a quality player.”
Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Queens Park Rangers was very much needed when it comes to stopping the rot of two Yorkshire derby-defeats in a row.
But Burnley are right at the top end of the Championship and United will need to be at their best to ensure they don’t suffer a humbling like they did against Brighton when they were in form.
Leeds can beat the best on their day, of course. Can they spring a surprise against Burnley this weekend?
