Queens Park Rangers are currently in 14th place in the Championship table.
Ian Holloway has told Sky Sports News, which was broadcast on 15th September, that Queens Park Rangers still have the right man at the helm in Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
The Dutch manager has come under pressure, after QPR were beaten 6-0 at home to Newcastle United in their latest match.
The Times have reported today that QPR are interested in appointing Tony Pulis, who appears to be heading towards the exit door at West Bromwich Albion.
However Holloway, who used to manage the R’s, has backed Hasselbaink to turn things around at Loftus Road.
“I was shocked, the first goal seemed to knock them off their stride [against Newcastle],” Holloway said. “But for me Jimmy is the right man. I trust him and it looked like they were hard to break down.
“It was a juggernaut he had going against him.”
QPR had actually made a fairly encouraging start to the season, but their failure to win either of their last two matches has frustrated.
Rangers should have beaten Blackburn Rovers, and their defeat against Newcastle was humiliating.
As things stand, QPR are now in 14th place in the Championship table – but they are still within touching distance of the play offs.
QPR’s next match comes against current league leaders Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
