Aiden McGeady scored twice for Sunderland this past weekend.

Former Queens Park Rangers and Crystal Palace manager Holloway made the comments about the former Celtic and Everton winger following Sunderland’s 2-0 win against Plymouth Argyle away from home in League One this past Saturday afternoon.
The 32-year-old Republic of Ireland international winger – who joined Sunderland from Everton in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by The Chronicle to be worth £250,000 – scored twice for the Black Cats, first in the 53rd minute and then from the penalty spot on 78 minutes.
Holloway has suggested that Sunderland winger McGeady should be playing at a higher division than League One.

“He is one of the most skilful players not to be in the higher division, I have to say,” Holloway said on Quest TV about McGeady.
Meanwhile, Sunderland manager Jack Ross has commented on his relationship with McGeady.
Ross told The Northern Echo about McGeady: “I enjoy a really positive relationship with Aiden that’s reflected in his displays on and off the ball.
“It’s just a matter of getting him in the right place and right frame of mind and he’s in that at the moment. Do that and he’ll produce moments of magic.”
Important player
McGeady is a very good winger who is showing his quality in League One for Sunderland.
The former Celtic ace has scored one goal and provided one assist in seven League One appearances for the Black Cats so far this season, according to Transfermarkt.com.
