Ian Harte has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Leeds United clinching promotion to the Premier League.
The former Leeds star is over the moon to see the West Yorkshire outfit back in the top flight of English football for the first time since 2004.
West Bromwich Albion’s 2-1 defeat to Huddersfield Town away from home in the Championship this evening means that the Whites will finish in the top two of the league table no matter what.
Deserved promotion
Leeds have been the best team in the Championship this season, and there is no surprise that they have clinched automatic promotion to the Premier League.
The Whites have played some brilliant football, and defensively Marcelo Bielsa’s side have been superb as well.
While it remains to be seen how Leeds will fare in the Premier League next season, for now, the fans of the club can rejoice and revel in a remarkable achievement.
Leeds are back in the Premier League after so long, and it is a great day for the Elland Road faithful.
