Jack Clarke came on during Leeds United’s Championship clash with Brentford on Saturday.

Ian Harte has taken to Twitter to laud Jack Clarke and express his delight for the winger after he was handed his Leeds debut during their Championship clash against Brentford at Elland Road on Saturday.
Clarke has been a fairly regular part of Marcelo Bielsa’s matchday squads this season, and it appeared to be a matter of time before he was handed his senior debut as he continues to prove to be one of the most impressive youngsters in the under-23 ranks.
Perhaps surprisingly, his chance came on Saturday as Leeds looked for an equaliser against the Bees after going a goal down in incredibly controversial fashion. Bielsa brought Clarke on with 20 minutes to go, and the youngster certainly impressed.
The 17-year-old caused several problems, including drawing two fouls in less than six minutes from Moses Odubajo, who arguably should have been sent off for the latter. Unsurprisingly, the defender avoiding the second yellow did not sit well with the home fans especially as Luke Ayling was dismissed in similar circumstances in the final moments of the contest.

Clarke did not shy away from getting onto the ball and managed to put a couple of testing crosses into the box from the right flank. He certainly vindicated Bielsa’s decision to throw him on, and now goes into the international break with a genuine claim to remain in the 18 that travel to Blackburn later this month.
And Harte – who is the youngster’s agent – took to social media to send a message to Clarke and insist that there is much more to come from the winger.
