Leeds United have been without Jack Clarke for several weeks, but the former Whites hero has provided a fantastic update.

Ian Harte took to Twitter ahead of Leeds United’s astonishing win against West Brom on Friday to confirm the fantastic news that Jack Clarke will be back involved with the Whites first-team on Monday.

Clarke has been absent since the 1-1 draw with Middlesbrough last month. The winger was at the centre of some very worrying scenes as he received treatment on the bench during the second-half at the Riverside Stadium.

Understandably, Leeds have taken a cautious approach as they look to bring the 18-year-old back into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans. He has not been involved in any of the Whites’ last four games.

But Clarke’s agent Harte has provided the update that the Elland Road faithful have been waiting for by confirming that the winger will be back training with the senior side imminently.

Although Leeds put in arguably their best performance of the season on Friday to tear the Baggies apart by 4-0, having Clarke back will be a massive boost for Bielsa’s men heading into the final 11 games of the campaign.

The 1-0 defeat to QPR in midweek acted as a reminder of how much work Leeds will need to do if they want to get themselves across the line in the promotion race.

But Clarke is the kind of talent that could make a huge difference over the next couple of months.
