Ian Harte has praised Niall Huggins on Twitter for his performance for the Leeds United Under-23 side today.
The Leeds Under-23 side took on their Burnley counterparts at County Ground, Leyland in Premier League 2 this afternoon.
Mark Jackson’s team won the match 4-1 with ease. Crysencio Summerville was the star of the show, as he scored a hat-trick.
Former Leeds star Harte was following the match, and he was impressed by the performance of 20-year-old full-back Huggins.
The youngster started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes.
One for the future
Huggins is a very talented and promising young left-back who was handed a new contract by Leeds only last month.
The youngster is now under contract at the Whites until the summer of 2023, and it seems that Leeds rate him highly.
If Huggins does well for the Under-23 side, then he will get a chance for the first team soon. If and when he gets it, then he will have to make the most of it and show head coach Marcelo Bielsa what he is capable of.
