Bailey Peacock-Farrell started for Leeds United against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Championship on Wednesday.
Ian Harte has taken to social networking site Twitter to express his delight at Paul Heckingbottom’s decision to include Bailey Peacock-Farrell in the Leeds United starting lineup against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Peacock-Farrell was in goal for Leeds’s Championship match against Wolves at Elland Road instead of Felix Wiedwald.
It was the 21-year-old goalkeeper’s first appearance in the league this season, as the West Yorkshire outfit lost 3-0.
The performance of the youngster was very encouraging, especially in the first half when he made two good saves.
Leeds legend Harte was following the match, and the former Republic of Ireland international left-back was pleased to see Peacock-Farrell start for Leeds.
Bright future ahead
Peacock-Farrell played well against arguably the best team in the Championship in Wolves, and his performance should have convinced head coach Heckingbottom to give him more chances between now and the end of the season.
The 21-year-old is still raw and developing, but the Leeds goalkeeper will improve if he is exposed regularly to competitive football.
