Ian Harte sent a light-hearted message on Twitter to former Leeds teammate Darren Huckerby regarding Marcelo Bielsa’s side as the retired striker celebrated Norwich City going to the top of the Championship table.

The Canaries knocked Sheffield United off top spot in the second tier as Daniel Farke’s side stormed to a hugely impressive 4-0 win away at Sheffield Wednesday.

Norwich are one of several sides to have found themselves at the summit since the start of the season, so it is hardly a surprise that Leeds – who currently sit fourth and are just two points above eighth place Blackburn Rovers – could go back to the top with a win over Wigan Athletic on Sunday.

So when Huckerby took to social media on Saturday evening to comment on Norwich being top of the table, Harte decided to respond by predicting that Leeds will replace them on Sunday.

Here is Harte’s response to Huckerby’s tweet…

It is not going to be an easy task for Leeds on Sunday as Wigan’s home record is actually the best in the division. Unlike the other teams that have taken 17 points from their home games this term, the Latics are yet to lose.

So Bielsa’s men may perhaps need to reproduce the away performances that saw them dismantle Derby County and Huckerby’s other old team Norwich if they want to make sure that Harte’s prediction comes to fruition.
