The former Leeds United defender’s decision was not well received by some fans, who’d seen their side beaten 4-2 by Nottingham Forest.

Ian Harte has explained why he ‘liked’ a tweet from the Nottingham Forest manager, Aitor Karanka, after the Reds’ 4-2 win against Leeds United on New Year’s Day.
Karanka is reportedly fighting for his future at Forest, whose win against the Championship leaders could prolong the Basque’s stay at the City Ground.
And he posted the following message on the social media website afterwards:
But Harte’s decision to ‘like’ it was not well received by some fans of Leeds United – the club at which the Irishman spent arguably his best years.
Harte insisted, however, that he was merely showing his support for Karanka, with whom he has no obvious prior affiliation.
Leeds’ defeat was their second in a row after a remarkable run of seven straight victories, yet Marcelo Bielsa’s side remain the division’s pace-setters after 26 matches.
Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, climbed to seventh in the standings, but are four points off sixth-place Derby County.
