The former Elland Road favourite currently works as Denton’s agent.

Former Leeds United left-back Ian Harte has told the Yorkshire Evening Post that Whites youngster Tyler Denton was left disappointed by the club’s offer of a one-year extension to his contract.
The offer, which was accepted anyway, came prior to Denton’s senior debut last month. And after marking it – the League Cup second round win against Luton Town – with the game’s only goal, Leeds invited both Denton and Harte – who acts as the 21-year-old’s agent – back to the negotiating table.
With his client’s improved deal now expiring in 2019, Harte told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “I’m delighted for him. He was offered a year’s extension in the summer and he was a bit disappointed by that but I told him to get his head down, work his socks off and make an impression.
“He got the chance to go to Ireland with the first team for pre-season and he’s obviously done well enough for the manager (Garry Monk) and the owner (Massimo Cellino) to review his situation.
“You can’t take anything for granted in football. You’ve got to earn everything and he’s done that.”
Leeds’ confidence in Denton has been further evidenced by their failure to enter the market for a new left-back, despite the continued uncertainty over Charlie Taylor’s future.

Taylor recently entered the final year of his contract with the Championship side, and looks set to leave as it stands.
The Whites will not lose the academy product for nothing, however, as long as they offer him a new deal on equal or improved terms to his existing one – regardless of whether he accepts it or not.
