West Ham United should consider a move for the Celta Vigo ace this summer.

Iago Aspas of Spain looks on prior to the International Friendly match between Spain and Switzerland at Estadio de La Ceramica on June 3, 2018 in Villareal, Spain.

West Ham fans must be pinching themselves after their clubs impressive business in the transfer market so far this summer, but there is still room for further improvement.

One particular area where Manuel Pellegrini will still want to strengthen is his centre-forward department, with the addition of an established goalscorer surely featuring highly on his summer wish-list.

With this in mind, the Hammers should consider a move for Celta Vigo hitman Iago Aspas.

The Spaniard was on fire for his club last season, scoring 23 goals in 37 appearances in all competitions, and he would be a fantastic addition to Pellegrini’s squad.

Aspas can play anywhere along the front-line, and that versatility would surely prove to be vital to West Ham, during what will be a long and physically punishing Premier League campaign.

The 30-year-old possesses incredible movement in and around the 18-yard box, and he is a lethal finisher.

He also has impressive technique, and despite his small stature, he excels when linking up play between the midfield and attack.

Whether Celta will be interested in selling their star man, however, is debatable, but the Hammers should test their resolve nevertheless.

He is valued at £22.3 million, according to Transfer Markt, and in today’s day and age, that would represent excellent value for West Ham.
