Everton boss Ronald Koeman is under huge pressure after a torrid start to the season.

Joey Barton has told talkSPORT that he can’t see any reason why Carlo Ancelotti would want to take the Everton job, if Ronald Koeman is sacked.
The Toffees endured another nightmare on Sunday afternoon, as they lost 1-0 to Burnley thanks to Jeff Hendrick’s well-taken first half strike.
That’s now four defeats in seven Premier League games for Everton this season, whilst they have claimed just one point from two Europa League games as Koeman struggles to get the season going.

Koeman was backed heavily over the summer with a raft of new signings, and whilst Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Gylfi Sigurdsson have been impressive for other clubs, they have yet to boost Everton’s side.
Whilst Koeman can point to the departure of Romelu Lukaku – and the failure to replace him – that isn’t washing with many Everton fans, who have booed the side off the pitch in their last two games.
Some are calling for Koeman to be sacked over the international break, especially given that a potentially ambitious successor has become available, after Bayern Munich sacked Carlo Ancelotti last week.
Now, pundit and Everton fan Joey Barton has told talkSPORT that he thinks Koeman is a good manager, and deserves time to turn things around, questioning who could replace him in the Goodison Park dugout.

Barton added that whilst he has heard the suggestions of Ancelotti coming in, he cannot see the Italian even wanting the Everton job, given the deficiencies in the squad and some of the illustrious clubs he has managed in recent years.
“I think Koeman is a good manager and, given time and resources, I think he would get the right blend,” said Barton. “And obviously if you’re going to replace him, who would you replace him with?”
“I heard noises about Carlo Ancelotti coming in, but what’s he going to do with that side? He still needs a centre-forward, he still needs a centre-half, he’s still got an issue at right-back. I wouldn’t take it if I was Ancelotti. You’ve just managed Chelsea, Real Madrid, PSG, Bayern Munich… why would you want the Everton job?” he added.
