Speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Michail Antonio has been discussing the idea of going in goal for West Ham United.
Antonio has played almost every position on the football pitch, from right-back to centre-forward, and now the Jamaica international has revealed his ambition of playing in net.
Indeed, the striker says that he would absolutely love to play in goal one day, stating that the goalkeeping coach knows how good he is in net.
Antonio actually made a cheeky dig at Harry Kane, stating that he wouldn’t emulate Kane’s cameo as a goalkeeper when the England captain famously spilled a soft free-kick over the line in the Europa League back in 2014.

Antonio says he’s better than Kane in goal
The striker responded when asked about his favourite position.
“My favourite position to play is up front now. It used to be left-wing, but it’s definitely up front, I love playing up front,” Antonio said.
“Any plans to play anywhere else? Will we see you in the sticks or anything like that?” Antonio was asked.
“I would love to go in goal for the last 10. Our goalkeeper coach knows that if anything happens it is me going in,” Antion responded
“We’ve seen a few strikers go in goal, I remember Harry Kane doing it,” The host replied.
“Yeah, I wouldn’t do what Harry Kane did,” Antonio concluded.
Might be decent
When you think about it, Michail Antonio might actually be a decent goalkeeper.
They say you have to be a bit crazy to be a goalie, and Antonio certainly has that side to him – just look at some of his goal celebrations as examples.
Meanwhile, he’s incredibly athletic and has a brilliant leap on him, so claiming crosses should be easy for Antonio.
Maybe one day we’ll actually get to see the Jamaica international play between the sticks.
