FC Twente have been urged to sell Lindon Selahi after Celtic allegedly made a bid for the midfielder, with Rene Wagelaar telling VoetbalTijd that the Eredivisie outfit have a few ready-made replacements lined up already.
If Selahi can emulate the success of the last FC Twente enforcer to make the trip to Britain, he will be worth every penny that the Hoops are willing to pay.
Like Leeds United’s Polish play-maker Mateusz Klich, the 21-year-old is a real Swiss army knife of a footballer.
Selahi carries the ball with purpose into the final third and never shirks his defensive duties either, averaging an impressive four tackles per game in the Dutch top flight.
With that in mind, the Albania international looks tailor-made for one of those roving number eight roles in Neil Lennon’s favoured 3-5-2 formation.
Sport Ekpres claim that Celtic have had an initial bid rejected for Selahi but, if the Hoops return with a second offer, Wagelaar thinks it would make sense from a sporting and financial perspective to cash in.

“I would sell,” said a former FC Twente player who now works as an agent.
“(Twente) could find a good replacement for Selahi. They have Jesse Bosch. He is similar to him. And you also have (Giorgi) Aburjania and (Godfried) Roemeratoe.
“Then they might get (Karim) El Ahmadi.”
35-year-old El Ahmadi, Eredivisie Player of the Year when Feyenoord won the title in 2017, has been tipped to join Twente after two seasons with Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.
So the door could soon swing open for Celtic to land Selahi after all.
