Speaking on the Last Word on Spurs YouTube channel, Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas has been speaking about some potential outgoings at Tottenham.
Spurs are expected to be busy in the final days of this transfer window. There are a number of players who could come in, but the likes of Dele Alli, Giovani Lo Celso, Joe Rodon and Tanguy Ndombele could depart.
Spurs may not be able to find suitors for all of their wantaway players, but according to Thomas, the player who is closest to leaving right now is Ndombele amid ongoing links to PSG.
What’s been said about Ndombele?
Thomas shared what he knows about the Frenchman.
“It looks at the moment that if he does end up at PSG, which all indications are that he will, it will be a straight loan, probably with an option to buy. But we’ll see, it’s probably best for all parties if Tanguy is to move on at this stage,” Thomas said.
“Out of interest Lyall, would you say that he is the closest out of any Tottenham player to leaving at the moment?” The host asked.
“I would say that is fair and accurate at this stage. It’s quite interesting that he’s going to go there (to PSG) with the midfield players they have. It’s a great move for him because he’s moving to an even bigger club. This is probably the type of move he has dreamt of, and I think he’s somebody who can do a job for them.”

Most important departure
Ndombele is apparently the player closest to the exit door at Spurs, and that’s probably a good thing.
Tottenham have plenty of deadwood that they’ll be wanting to get rid of, but Ndombele is arguably the most important potential departure.
He’s one of Spurs’ best-paid players, while he’s also perhaps the furthest away from Antonio Conte’s plans – Ndombele has reportedly even been made to train on his own in recent weeks.
As Thomas says, a move away for Ndombele is probably what’s best for all parties at this point.
