Clinton Morrison says Antonio Conte won’t be at Tottenham Hotspur next season, as he is set to return from Italy following surgery.
The Italian has been resting in his homeland during these past few weeks, and in the meantime, Spurs have beaten Chelsea, got dumped out of the FA Cup by Sheffield United and suffered a 1-0 loss at Wolves on Saturday.
That’s probably Spurs defined in a nutshell!

One thing is for sure, ahead of AC Milan’s visit to north London for the second leg of their Champions League tie on Wednesday night, Conte is expected to be in the dugout.
But will he be prowling that very same touchline for the 2023/24 Premier League campaign?
Well, former Crystal Palace striker and boyhood Spurs fan Clinton Morrison doesn’t think so, as he told Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports News (04/03/23 at 12:35 pm).
“It’s a hard one because his health is the most important thing,” said Morrison. “He can’t come back until he is ready and up to it, to be fair.
“But I think he’s coming back for the AC Milan one. I don’t know why if he can come back for that one, then I don’t know why he isn’t here against Wolves. But maybe he needs a couple more days of recovery.
“If you were to ask me ‘would Conte be there at the end of the season?’ I would say no he’s not. I can’t see him being at Tottenham at the end of the season.”

NO LONG-TERM PLANNING AT SPURS
Conte’s future is in doubt. Players, such as Pedro Porro, are being brought in to specially play in his system, even though the Italian might not be at the club next season.
An ageing squad, in some respects, Ivan Perisic isn’t the future, Hugo Lloris needs replacing, Eric Dier, Davinson Sanchez and Ben Davies aren’t good enough, and Clement Lenglet probably won’t extend his questionable loan spell.
Lucas Moura came on against Wolves ahead of January signing Arnaut Danjuma, even though the former PSG man is set to leave in the summer.
Rodrigo Bentancur’s long-term injury is a big blow and he needs replacing in the transfer market, whilst Harry Kane might also join Conte out of the exit door.
Either way, it’s all rosy in the Tottenham garden, isn’t it?!
