Speaking to Prime Video Sport, Toni Kroos has been answering a few questions and he’s been asked about Mohamed Salah.
Kroos has, of course, played against Salah in two Champions League finals in recent years, and he was questioned about who would win in a sprint race between the pair.
We have a feeling that the presenter’s tongue was pressed firmly into his cheek when this question was asked. After all, Salah is one of the fastest footballers on the planet, and Kroos, well, he isn’t.
The German admitted that Salah would absolutely burn him in a race, stating that he wouldn’t like to see that match-up on the pitch, claiming that he’d have to pick up a yellow card if he was ever caught in a foot race against the Egyptian.

Kroos vs Salah
The German gave his verdict on what would happen if he was caught one on one vs Salah.
‘In a sprint-off who would win Kroos or Salah?” The German was asked.
“I would not want to see that. That would at least result in a yellow card,” Kroos said.
One of the quickest
Salah would absolutely destroy Kroos in a race, but there’s no shame in that.
Indeed, the Liverpool winger is genuinely one of the quickest players in the game today, and unless your name is Kylian Mbappe, there’s not much chance of anyone keeping up with Salah.
Unfortunately, the Egyptian hasn’t been able to use his pace to his advantage so far this season, faltering in front of goal for Liverpool on a few too many occasions this term, but as he has shown in recent years, we’re sure it will begin to click sooner rather than later.
Salah’s pace is one of his main attributes, but his all-around game makes him one of the most deadly attackers the Premier League has ever seen.
