Jay Bothroyd has claimed that it would be ‘great’ if Arsenal could sign Youri Tielemans and he would ‘love to see’ Leeds United winger, Raphinha, at the club as well.
Arsenal are starting to make noises in the summer transfer market, with Gabriel Jesus close to joining Fabio Vieira at the club, but Bothroyd now wants Tielemans and Raphinha signed up.
In previous windows, there would be more talk than walk from those in the Emirates boardroom, but things could be a little different now.
The Gunners spent the most out of any Premier League team last summer and it wouldn’t be a surprise if the same happens again.
Either way, former Arsenal academy player and boyhood fan, Bothroyd, made it clear who he wants next on the club’s shopping transfer list, as he told Sky Sports News.
“There is talk about Tielemans, which I think would be great,” said Bothroyd. “But they haven’t done that yet. I would love to see Raphinha there. I think he would be great.
“I am looking at Martinelli. I think Arteta gave him a really good opportunity to stake his claim with a starting place and he didn’t take his chance. That’s why I think Arteta is now looking for other possibilities.”

MORE PRESSURE ON ARTETA
There are only so many blows Arteta can take in north London, before he is well and truly knocked out.
During his time in the Arsenal dugout, he has taken a fair few, from getting knocked out of the Europa League semi-finals to the man he replaced, Unai Emery.
To losing Arsenal’s first three Premier League games last season, which saw him come under enormous pressure from within and outside of the club.
But he is still standing, getting backed by those upstairs, however, if it goes wrong again, then his time at the Premier League side might just be up.
Champions League football needs to return to the Emirates, and if Arteta can’t provide it or continues to show signs that he can’t, then fans will demand that a new face takes over.
