Speaking to BBC Sport’s YouTube channel, Alan Shearer has been discussing Jude Bellingham amid so many transfer rumours.
Bellingham has been linked to the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Real Madrid, and now Shearer has been asked about a potential move to Newcastle.
As the richest club in the world, Newcastle are always going to be a part of these conversations from here on in, and while Shearer says he would love the Magpies to go out and get Bellingham, he says he can’t see this type of move happening just yet.

Shearer wants Bellingham at Newcastle
The pundit spoke about his admiration for the youngster.
“Hasn’t Jude Bellingham always belonged in Northumberland?” Shearer was asked.
“Well, I would love to think so, but I would suspect that he might have a few more offers from clubs that are already going to be challenging for the Premier League rather than a team that will be in years to come,” Shearer said.
Almost had him
Newcastle aren’t favourites for Bellingham’s signature right now, but they did have a look at Bellingham a few years ago.
Indeed, according to The Telegraph back in 2019, the Magpies were looking at a 16-year-old Bellingham when he was at Birmingham City, but sadly, a deal never came to fruition.
Now, his value has skyrocketed and he’s seemingly out of United’s reach, but in another world, he’d be a current Newcastle player starring alongside Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes in the midfield.
Unfortunately, this is a player who slipped through Newcastle’s fingers and now they can only dream of bringing the teenager to St James’ Park.
