Colo Colo sensation Cristian Zavala has been speaking on the club’s social media channels, where he made an interesting comment about Arsenal.
What’s the story?
Well, the 22-year-old was asked which Colo Colo teammate he’d take with him if he left to play for a side in Europe.
Intriguingly, Zavala then said he’d love to play for Arsenal, and admitted that he has “always dreamed of” playing for the Gunners.
The Chilean said: “I would go to Europe to the club that I have always dreamed of, Arsenal.”
He did eventually answer the question, as the 2-cap Chile international revealed he’d take Maxi Falcón with him – however, it speaks volumes that the youngster mentioned Arsenal without even being prompted.
Perhaps Zavala was inspired by Alexis Sanchez and his heroics at the Emirates Stadium, as the 33-year-old is a hero in Chile.
Whatever the reason, it’s encouraging for the Gunners to hear this.

If Mikel Arteta ever wants to sign the South American, then he will surely have an advantage over others following these comments.
Arsenal should track Cristian Zavala
In our view, Arsenal should monitor Zavala’s progress, after he basically issued a come-and-get-me plea to the north Londoners.
At the moment, the winger probably isn’t good enough to play Premier League football, but the signs are encouraging.

Last term, Zavala scored five goals in 31 appearances, while also providing eight assists as he played on both flanks throughout the campaign.
Furthermore, it is quite impressive for a 22-year-old to already have a couple of caps for his country, so clearly, he’s doing something right.
Keep an eye on Zavala’s progress, as we could one day see him terrorising defenders at the Emirates Stadium.
