Harry Redknapp has claimed that he would be ‘very surprised’ if Tottenham manage to get a result at Manchester City on Saturday, as he told talkSPORT.

The former manager made it clear that the Spurs ‘aren’t quite at the level’ of Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Antonio Conte’s side have lost three Premier League games on the bounce and their chances of securing a Champions League spot are starting to fade away.

It has been evident for a while now, but Conte is starting to find out the job he has been tasked with in north London and it’s not looking pretty.

The last thing Cone and his players need is a trip to free-scoring Man City, but with Harry Kane at the helm, Redknapp thinks it’s ‘never impossible’, although, he still doesn’t think they will get anything from the weekend’s game.

“It’s never impossible, even if you got people like Harry Kane,” said Redknapp. “You are always in with a chance, if he’s fit and playing.

“But Manchester City look different class. They really do. Them, Chelsea and Liverpool. They are on a different level to the next.

“Man United, Tottenham and Arsenal. They aren’t quite at the level of the top three. They have a fair way to go.

“I would be very surprised if Tottenham did a positive at Manchester City.”

Not many teams do the double of this flying Manchester City, but Spurs have the chance to do just that.

They beat the Premier League champions on the opening days of the season when Nuno Espirito Santo was in charge.

But that soon changed quickly and they will be hoping to cause an upset at the Etihad, this time under the stewardship of their Italian manager.

If Conte can muster out a result here, especially with Tottenham’s defensive fragilities, then it would be some result.
