David Seaman has stated that he would be ‘surprised’ if Antonio Conte left Tottenham Hotspur.
The former England goalkeeper thinks Conte is now ‘settled’ at Tottenham and he is slowly changing things around at the club.
If it hasn’t been obvious already, the Italian is an emotional guy and he can go from zero to 100 in next to no time.
He showcased that after Spurs were beaten at Burnley last month and sparked fears into the supporters’ eyes when he seemingly threatened to leave.
Perhaps it was a warning from Conte to Daniel Levy that he needs to back him in the summer, but Seaman thinks the one-time Premier League title winner will be at Hotspur Way next season, as he told Sky Sports.
“I would say he is settled,” said Seaman. “He certainly got the respect of the players. He (Kulusevski) called him ‘Mr Conte’, so that’s a big step.
“I like the way that he is on the touchline. I like the way he conducts himself in the press. He is passionate. What you see is what you get.
“I would be surprised if anything changed. He is getting there. These little dips, he will want to iron that out and get a consistent rise of performances. And they are capable of it.”

Fabio Paratici is key to this Conte-Levy relationship that could just bubble up and burst at any moment.
Given that the Tottenham managing director has known Conte before, he could probably be the one to relax the situation when it escalates, as it did at Turf Moor a number of weeks ago.
At the end of the day, it’s all about Conte getting backed, and whilst he wanted more faces through the door in January, two signings were still brought in and they are thriving now.
More of the same in the summer, then Tottenham could be looking at a very good campaign next season, even if they miss out on Champions League football this term.
