Tottenham, Aston Villa and Newcastle target Kalidou Koulibaly has admitted he has no idea where his future lies this summer. The Napoli defender is about to enter the final 12 months of his contract with the Serie A club.
Koulibaly, 30, has spent the last eight years at Napoli, clocking up a huge 317 appearances. A man mountain of a defender, he is regarded as one of the best central defenders in European football, on his day.
Reports earlier this summer said Newcastle were keen, while Villa had had a bid rejected for the £30million-rated star. Meanwhile, Spanish newspaper SPORT says Spurs are also keeping a close eye on developments.
It was believed that Napoli were in talks with his agents over a £75,000-a-week renewal. But more recently, Mundo Deportivo say Napoli have begun the search for his replacement, planning for life without him.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has quoted Koulibaly as commenting on his future. The defender, who could end up in the Premier League, has said he is unsure where his future lies this summer.

Villa’s bid rejected is said to have come before they agreed a move to land Diego Carlos, meaning they are likely to pull themselves out of a race. That is, if they decide to keep Tyrone Mings this summer.
Meanwhile, Newcastle could do with Koulibaly – a player Amanda Staveley and the Toon board have admired for some time. They were linked with him during initial takeover bid, back in 2020.
Now, they are back in for him and Eddie Howe will want a central defender. But Tottenham is his best option, to rival Eric Dier for a place in the side. Spurs are in the Champions League, and it surely puts Spurs on pole.
