Real Madrid fans have reacted on Twitter to Arsenal expressing an interest in their player, Miguel Gutierrez.
The Athletic claim that Arsenal are looking to strengthen their defence by bringing in Real Madrid’s highly-rated youngster to the club.
Arsenal are in need of depth in the left-back area with Kieran Tierney holding the torch for that department and the rising star, Bukayo Saka also able to deploy that role.
But a bona-fide left-back is needed, so why not dip into the Spanish market and try to lure one of their best talents to their shores?
Whilst this is exciting for the Arsenal faithful, the same cannot be said for the Madrid fans.
They have made it clear that they don’t want Gutierrez to go anywhere and they have warned their club in parting ways with him this summer.
The problem Madrid face is that if serious dough is put on the table then it might be hard to turn down, even if it is a step down for the La Fabrica academy product.
Over the years, Madrid have unearthed some serious talent and quality out on that left-hand side.
From the ageing legendary figure, Marcelo, to the now-Tottenham player, Sergio Reguilon, who had to leave Spain in order to find regular football.
Plus, there is the under-appreciated and powerful Ferland Mendy at the top of his game.
