Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is the latest in a galaxy of stars lavishing praise on Tottenham Hotspur and England striker Harry Kane.

Kane has been in scintillating form in the last month and scored 13 goals for club and country during September.
A brace against Huddersfield last time out helped Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs run out comfortable 4-0 winners and made it seven goals in three games in seven days for Kane.
With international football bringing the Premier League to a halt for the last time this year all the talk this week has been about the Spurs academy graduate who has fast established himself as one of Europe’s deadliest strikers.
And now Liverpool legend Gerrard has had his say, admitting to Sky Sports he wishes Kane was a Liverpool player.

“He’s the in-form player in world football in terms of goals scored (and) how he’s playing,” Gerrard told Sky Sports.
“I love the player, I love the character – I watch his interviews a lot, I’ve also met him on a couple of occasions and I think he’s a perfect role model and ambassador for the game.
“I love the way he goes about his work, I’ve also spoken to people who know him better than myself and I’ve heard he’s obsessed and relentless on the training ground and I’m sure he’s getting the rewards now for all that hard work.

“I’m glad he’s English (but) I wish he was a Red, I’m really happy for him with the form he’s in and really enjoying watching him at the moment.”
Kane will likely lead England out as captain when they face Slovenia and Lithuania over the next week.
And he will be hoping to continue his recent streak which is seeing him mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
