Marseille winger Nemanja Radonjic has ruled out a January move to Southampton or West Ham United, telling TMW that he is ‘sure’ he will stay at the Ligue 1 giants.
Yes, the Serbia international has spent much of the season struck down with a thigh problem but, even when fit, Radonjic has struggled to force his way into Andre Villas-Boas’s starting XI on a consistent basis.
Marseille’s number seven played just 92 minutes of football during their dismal Champions League campaign too.
So, with West Ham and Southampton expressing an interest (Mirror, 3rd December, page 63), Radonjic would be forgiven for wondering if the grass was greener on the other side of the Channel.
Instead, the one-time Roma youngster is determined to fight for his place at the Stade Velodrome.
“I heard of this interest on the internet but I have no intention of leaving Olympique Marseille,” said Radonjic, who set L’OM back around £12 million when arriving from Red Star Belgrade.

“I have not had contact with other clubs and I am sure I will stay here. I want to stay at least until the summer and I am happy that the coach has given me more space in the last few matches.”
As the 24-year-old himself said, his game-time has increased in recent weeks.
Radonjic started successive Ligue 1 matches for the first time this season post-Christmas, and a well-taken goal against Montpellier will do his hopes of a sustained run in the team no harm at all.
