Arsenal winger Leandro Trossard is confident that he will play enough games for the Gunners this season.
Leandro Trossard has made just one start in the 2023/24 Premier League campaign and did not feature at all in Arsenal‘s last outing against Manchester United.
However, the 28-year-old, who has been speaking to Het Laatste Nieuws, is not worried.
What has Leandro Trossard said about his situation at Arsenal?
On his lack of starts so far this term, Trossard said: “I don’t know how the national coach feels about that [his role at Arsenal]. I am still convinced that I will play enough matches. I will be ready for the European Championship.”
While Trossard may not be influencing games for Arsenal right now, he made a huge impact at the Emirates last season after arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion in January in a £27m deal.
In 20 Premier League appearances, the Belgian managed to provide 10 assists and score one goal to help Mikel Arteta’s men finish second in the table.
It shows what Trossard can do when given opportunities.
Mikel Arteta should utilise Leandro Trossard more
As the season goes on, Arteta has to hand Trossard more chances.

Of course, that is a bit difficult when you have wide men as good as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in your ranks.
However, with the Gunners playing in the Champions League, there should be opportunities for Trossard.
The Belgium international is yet to do much in the Premier League this season, but he did score the all-important equaliser in Arsenal’s encounter with Manchester City in the Community Shield.
What Trossard did that day alone proves that he can make an impact for the north London club.
