Matty Cash has all but confirmed that he will be out of Aston Villa’s home clash against Southampton on Friday night ‘due to injury’.
The right-back, who was forced off during Villa’s 1-1 draw against Manchester City, posted on Instagram that he won’t be able to make Poland’s forthcoming International matches for that reason.
It’s not yet known the extent of Cash’s injury, but Villa and Polish fans will be hoping he is back on the grass sooner rather than later.

Steven Gerrard will probably confirm all later on this week, with Villa’s Friday night game against Southampton set to go ahead after the death of the Queen.
The Midlands side were due to play fellow strugglers Leicester City last Saturday, but just like the rest of English football, games were postponed.
Nonetheless, this was the message Cash posted to fans about not taking part in the forthcoming International games.
“Due to an injury,” said Cash. “I will not take part in the September meeting of the Polish national team.
“Rehabilitation is going well, but I won’t be able to recover for the forthcoming matches. Good luck to the team and I will keep my fingers crossed for the team.”
AYE AYE ASHLEY ASHLEY YOUNG
At 37, Ashley Young is proving that he still has it in his locker because he was outstanding when he came off the bench against Manchester City.
The former Manchester United winger could even argue that he was Man of the Match, as he dealt with Phil Foden and also won a brilliant duel with Kevin de Bruyne.
Either way, Young will most likely be the player who steps in, with Fred Guilbert axed by Gerrard since pre-season.
The Frenchman has been harshly treated by Gerrard and it’s a crying shame for a player who hasn’t done much wrong to receive this type of treatment.
