Tottenham Hotspur supporters have debated the January transfer window amid rumours of the positions they will target next month.

Football London has claimed that the targets for Spurs could include a right wing-back, left-sided centre-back and a striker to provide added depth alongside Harry Kane.

Emerson Royal was purchased by Spurs in the summer, after the departure of Serge Aurier, with the Brazilian competing with Matt Doherty for that right-sided role.

But the Irishman has struggled since joining the club, and if Spurs are keen to bring in another right wing-back, then he’s probably headed for the exit door.

It has been obvious for a number of years now that the north London club have needed a back-up option to Kane.

But time and time again, players have passed, struggled and they have just relied on Heung-Min Son filling in during his absence.

As for the left-sided centre-back, if they can get a player in, then he will provide cover/competition for Ben Davies, who has thrived in that role under Conte.

It will also mean questions being asked about players like Joe Rodon and whether he has a future at the club.

Either way, the Tottenham faithful like what they are hearing ahead of the window opening and think they are targeting the right areas.

Added with that, it will also be interesting to see how the presence of Antonio Conte helps Spurs in the market and to purchase those top, top players they may have struggled to bring in before.
