Russell Martin was one of four Graeme Murty signings handed their Rangers debuts at Ibrox on Wednesday.
The on-loan Norwich City defender was joined by January recruits Sean Goss and Jamie Murphy in Murty’s starting lineup, while Jason Cummings appeared as a late substitute as Rangers secured their third straight win against Aberdeen.
Goals from Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier (penalty) were enough to ensure the Gers the points, although the result owed much to events at the other end of the pitch – with goalkeeper Wes Foderingham a notable performer.
