Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after the club posted some 12-second footage of Erik Lamela playing against Fulham.

The clip in questions shows Tottenham’s No.11 embarking on a mesmeric run during the second half.

Lamela – unsurprisingly – does a ball roll past Ademola Lookman and Joe Bryan before nutmegging the latter.

The Argentina international then does yet another ball roll past Tosin Adarabioyo to put himself in an excellent position.

Sadly, his cutback with the outside of his left foot is cut out by Harrison Reed, with Harry Kane and Heung-min Son lurking.

One fan said they were ‘very angry’ after the silky run didn’t lead to a goal at Craven Cottage, and we can’t help but agree.

Perhaps Lamela would’ve been better off drilling the ball across goal with his right foot, instead of cutting it back on his left.

However, the former River Plate forward is quite reliant on his left foot, so we can understand why he did what he did.

It was Lamela’s birthday yesterday, so it would’ve been nice to see his dazzling run rewarded with a goal as a little gift for him.

Nevertheless, to have a forward who can take multiple players out of the game like this is a great weapon to have.

Let’s see what the Tottenham fans on Twitter have been saying about the 12-second footage…
