Speaking on the Inside Elland Road Podcast, the Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth has shared what he knows about Leeds United’s search for a new manager and Ange Postecoglou.
The Celtic boss has been linked with the vacant post at Elland Road in recent days, but according to Smyth, he’s not one of Leeds’ top choices for the job right now.
Indeed, Smyth says he’s been told that Postecoglou isn’t a frontrunner for this role, stating that he personally believes that he may not even be on their shortlist.
Leeds not in for Postecoglou
The reporter shared what he knows about the Australian manager and Leeds.
“His football is not bad. He’s proven himself wherever he’s been. He would’ve been a name you imagine would be in there, but I was told yesterday that he’s not in the frontrunners, and I’m not even sure he’s one their targeting for whatever reason. Perhaps it would be a difficult one to do. I think he will end up in the Premier League, I just don’t know if it will happen yet,” Smyth said.

The Australian has shown at Celtic just what he can do in the British game, and his personally would suit Leeds to a tee.
An outspoken, innovative, attack-minded coach, Postecoglou could be a perfect fit for Leeds.
Leeds’ loss may well be Celtic’s gain as the Scottish giants look to hold onto their gem of a manager.
