Speaking on the Talking Transfers Podcast, Graeme Bailey has shared a potential issue in the race to sign Gabriel Jesus this summer.

Jesus has been linked to a number of Premier League clubs as of late, including Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham,

It finally seems as though Arsenal are closing in on the Brazilian as talks heat up, but according to Bailey, there’s one other club that the striker may be more keen to join.

Indeed, Bailey says that he wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Jesus end up joining AC Milan, stating that he’s recently been told that Jesus was a fan of the San Siro outfit as a child and harbours ambitions of playing for the Serie A champions.

What’s been said?

Bailey spoke about Jesus and his dream of playing for Milan.

“I still think he might go abroad. It’s just a gut feeling, I think he might look at Milan, an interesting fact, I was told this, Milan, interestingly, I was surprised, they were the club he supported as a youngster, he has a lot of love there. It was the reason he turned down Juventus and Inter, he is a Milan fan and he’s always wanted to go there, so I’d keep them in the equation,” Bailey said.

Dream move

It sounds as though a move to Milan is something of a dream for Jesus, and it’s not hard to understand why.

For many Brazilians growing up in the late 2000s, Milan were the team to follow.

So many talented Brazilians were starring for Milan around that time, from Kaka to Alexandre Pato all the way to the legendary Ronaldinho.

Jesus grew up in that era, and he’ll have dreamt of playing for Milan for years, and with the Rossoneri reportedly interested in the striker, his dream could come true this summer.

Arsenal are reportedly closing in on Jesus, but if Milan come calling, things could change very quickly.
